Welcome to Merry Harriers
Merry Harriers is a family run business established in 2000. When we first started out the site consisted of only two small polytunnels & a potting shed for a tearoom. The polytunnels now cover over 14000 sqft and this is where we grow the majority of our bedding plants and perennials.
Our shop has gone through many changes but we still pride ourselves on being a local family run independent garden centre supporting the local area.
Our brilliant Christmas Display is now available to view in store! Have a sneak peek at the video below!
Plant of the month!
Helleborus ‘Christmas Carol’
Pure white single flowers with yellow stamens. Superb veriety of Helleborus which flowers around christmas time hence it’s name.
We currently have this plant on a buy 2 get 1 free offer!
Come relax and enjoy good food in pleasant surroundings. The Mad Hatters is not your usual Garden Centre Restaurant. It is full of traditional charm with local memorabilia on display of the Braund Family that once resided just a stones throw away at Buck Mills.
The restaurant overlooks the lake that is fed by a babbling brook, which turns the water wheel on the mill house. Children are welcome to feed the fish under close supervision of an adult. The gardens surrounding the restaurant are full of interesting ideas and you will often see our staff out there busy tending to the plants.
Here at Merry Harriers we aim to make your shopping experience an enjoyable and memorable one. The shop covers a large area for you to look around the wonderful and extensive array of Home Wares and Gifts we pride ourselves on stocking.
This includes Throws, Cushions, Glassware, Silk flowers, Kitchen Ware and Wall Art to mention just some of the vast selection of items we have on display. We also stock a wide selection of Ladies and Gents Gifts, Jewellery, Toys, Books & DVDs, Cards, Indoor and Outdoor Furniture, Tools & Garden Equipment, Seeds, Barbeques. Our friendly Shop and Nursery staff are always on hand and ready to help you with any queries.
